How to use Aristocort cream and ointment

Before using aristocort cream or ointment, wash and dry your hands, and before applying it, clean and dry the affected area. Then apply a thin film of the aristocort ointment or aristocort r cream on the affected area and gently rub in, repeat 2 to 4 times daily or as directed by your physician. Do not cover, bandage or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your physician, and if used in the diaper area on an infant, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. After applying aristocort cream, wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes as this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting this medication in the nose or mouth. If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with plenty of water. Use aristocort ointment or aristocort cream only for the condition prescribed and do not use it for longer than prescribed and please inform your physician if your condition persists or worsens.

Your physician will prescribe the exact dose of aristocort injection which will depend on the type of disorder and severity of the allergy.The injection is usually given as a shot into one of your muscles, a joint, or a spot on your skin called a lesion. Triamcinolone diacetate is practically insoluble in water; soluble in chloroform; sparingly soluble in alcohol and in methanol and slightly soluble in ether. This preparation is suitable for parenteral administration through a 23-gauge needle (or larger), but NOT suitable for intravenous use.
